The Deanery recommends 10 specialty training days a year. These will rotate between Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in different accessible locations, from 9.30am - 4.30pm.
Over a 3 year period there will be 30 training days covering 60 subject areas. Teaching slides and recommended reading will posted on this website. The training day format is usually: Morning 9.30am start Interactive case-based session / mock exam MCQs Overview of the relevant guidelines and evidence Lunchtime around noon Afternoon 2pm start Interactive case-based session / mock exam MCQs Overview of the relevant guidelines and evidence Finish by 4.30pm We want the training days to focus on developing knowledge, understanding and clinical reasoning skills. |
